Terms and Conditions
1. GENERAL. All arrangements are made subject to the following conditions, and signature of check-in form confirms that he or she accepts and agrees to be bound by these conditions. The signatory signs on behalf of the entire group.

2. CONTRACT. The contract shall be between the Hirer (lead Guest Name who is over 18) and the Owner, Ninke & Henrico Drent-Amelink.

3. TERMS. The contract is for a short term holiday let, only as agreed directly by the Owner or via a official third party booking source. The Owner has right of refusal of booking, entry or removal at any time.

4. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE TIMES. Check-in time is from 4pm and check-out time is by 10am unless otherwise agreed upfront with the owners. As it takes significant time to clean the property to the highest standards, please make sure you are ready to leave on time. If check out is not made before the set time, the cleaning team will need to make additional costs to meet the required timing. These additional costs will be taken from your damage deposit.

5. DEPOSIT. A deposit payment is required to secure the booking on all occasions as detailed on the booking form or previous correspondence or via an official third party booking source. This deposit is non-refundable.
When the deposit payment is done and the contract is signed the reservation is official.

6. PAYMENT OF BALANCE. In the case of all direct bookings the balance is due two calendar months prior to the check-in date. For example, if the check-in date is 15th August the the balance payment is due before 15th June. In default of the receipt of the balance the Owners reserve the right to cancel the booking and levy the cancellation charges as detailed in these Terms and Conditions.

7. CANCELLATION. If the Hirer chooses to cancel the booking the following charges will be levied. If your booking is cancelled at any time the deposit payment is non-refundable. If your booking is cancelled two calendar months prior to check-in date 50% charge of the total booking value will be levied. If your booking is cancelled four weeks prior to check-in date 100% charge of the total booking value will be levied. We therefore strongly recommend a cancellation insurance. We reserve the right to cancel any letting, should you or a member of your party cause damage tot he property, its furniture or contents or should you create a serious disturbance to any adjoining neighbours. If we are forced to cancel your booking for reasons outside of our control, you will be refunded all sums paid.

8. TAXE DE SEJOURS. Appropriate Taxe de Séjours (local Tourist Tax) must be paid by the Hirer upon check-in. The rate is €0,77cents per adult per night, as set in 2019 by the local authorities.

9. BREAKAGES/FINAL CLEANING.
A cleaning cost of €275 per week is made. A breakages deposit is charged as part of your booking conditions upon the same date that all final booking payments are due (2 months prior to check in). The Owners appreciate that breakages can & do happen. The Owners trust that you and your party will treat your holiday home with respect and inform us immediately of any breakages/accidents. The Owners ask that all breakages are replaced like for like or that an appropriate sum is paid. Should your cottage be left in a condition that requires extra cleaning at the end of your stay, you will be informed of this and charged €50 per hour for the additional time spent. The breakages deposit, after any potential compensations, will be refunded within 10 days after your stay on the same bank account you paid from.

10. DETAILS PROPERTY. Although we make every effort to ensure the details and images of our website are accurate at the time of your booking, we cannot accept any liability for discrepancies.

11. GUEST CONDUCT. The Hirer and their party must behave respectfully towards the Owners and other guests. Keep noise levels low inside the house and in communal areas, particularly during night hours. Smoking is not permitted in and outside the house or on the premises. Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated in any form. The Owners have the right to insist persistent offenders leave the property.

12. ADDITIONAL GUESTS. The number of persons occupying the property must not exceed the number agreed on the time of booking. The owner has the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not respected. If knowledge of additional guests is gained once entry to the property has already been made, the Owner reserves the right to do one of the following:
​
1) Ask additional guests to leave the property,
2) Agree an additional charge for extra guests and take payment accordingly,
3) Ask the whole party to leave immediately without any refund of money.
From time to time the Hirer may wish to invite further guests to the property for a daytime-visit. In all cases the Owners must be consulted prior to a visit. No big parties or celebrations with extra guests are allowed.

13. PETS. We do not accept pets at La Domaine de Dourdène.

14. RISK AND RESPONSIBILITY. The accommodation, swimming pool, surroundings and amenities (eg, BBQs) are provided entirely at the Hirer’s and user’s risk. While precautions are taken to ensure the safety of guests, the Owner’s cannot be held responsible for personal injury, accident or loss arising in connection with this holiday let. Please note that open fires are not allowed on the premises.

15. PERSONAL BELONGINGS. Baggage, personal belongings and vehicles are at the Hirer's and owner's risk at all times. No responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage.

16. PARKING. No parking of cars under the open oak barn. This is an open space for leisure and recreation purposes.
​
17. NO SMOKING POLICY. There is a strict NO SMOKING policy on the entire property, in and outside. In case of breach of the NO SMOKING policy, owner has the right to insist offenders leave the property without refund.

18. VIDEO SURVEILLANCE. For the safety of you and your belongings, the public space outside the houses (the main street between the houses) is guarded with video surveillance. For your privacy, there is no video surveillance at the terraces, verandas, swimming pool area and inside the houses!

19. COMMON USAGE. If you have not exclusively rented the entire Domaine de la Dourdène, the pool area and open oak barn are for common usage for both the houses. Both houses have private terraces. Please respect the other tenant's privacy
